HIRING IMMEDIATELY: ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ASSOCIATE IN GLENDALE HEIGHTS, IL

Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for an Accounts Payable Associate to join our client in Glendale Heights, IL. This individual will be responsible for processing, verifying, and posting invoices accurately and in a timely manner, as well as reconciling accounts payable transactions and resolving discrepancies with vendors or internal teams. The ideal candidate will possess an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience), with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable and/or bookkeeping roles. Pay, Schedule, and Location
  • Starting at $22 to $24/hour, paid weekly

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Process, verify, and post invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies with vendors or internal teams.
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
  • Ensure proper coding of expenses to appropriate general ledger accounts.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date payable records, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Assist with the implementation and enforcement of payment policies and procedures.
  • Assist in managing accruals, prepaid expenses, and expense allocations.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts related to accounts payable, cash disbursements, and vendor balances.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for billing inquiries and payment follow-ups.
  • Set up new vendors in the system and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor early payment discounts and payment terms to optimize cash flow.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable and/or bookkeeping roles.
  • Strong skills in accuracy and precision
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with general ledger and reconciliations
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
  • Knowledge of multi-currency and international payment processing
