Cost Accountant
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our manufacturing finance team in LaPorte, IN. This role will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost accounting, financial reporting, and variance analysis while partnering closely with operations, production, and leadership teams to drive accuracy and efficiency across the business.
Manage all month-end cost accounting activities , including inventory valuation, variance analysis, and margin reporting.
Prepare and analyze financial reports related to manufacturing operations and production costs.
Partner cross-functionally to provide insights into pricing structures , cost drivers, and profitability.
Maintain and monitor inventory control processes to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
Support ongoing process improvements and cost-saving initiatives within the finance and operations teams.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
Minimum of 5 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment .
Proficiency in SAP and advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, and modeling).
