Our law firm is seeking a family attorney who can assist clients in navigating the sensitive legal issues of family law, including child custody, child abuse, and domestic violence. Job seekers should be equally familiar with prenuptial agreements, divorce, alimony, child support, and real estate, and be able to effectively engage in oral debate and negotiation even in highly stressful and emotional situations. Responsibilities * Anticipate, prepare for, and attend trials, mediation, and arbitration on behalf of clients * Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings * Provide guidance and advice to associate attorneys and paralegals to resolve or prevent conflicts * Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions * Get appropriate documents prepared, such as motions, pleadings, notices, and discovery requests and responses Qualifications * Four-year bachelor's degree and successful completion of law school from an accredited law school * At least 3 years of experience working as a family law attorney * Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision * Active member in good standing with local and state bar associations * Exceptional time management and interpersonal skills are desired, as are exceptional writing and verbal communication skills * At least 3+ years of litigation experience. xmcpwfu * Applicants must have trial, mediation, and evidentiary hearing experience.
