Title: Financial Controller
Location: Vestal NY
Compensation: $100,000 to $130,000
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and present timely and accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Develop and manage the annual budget process, including revenue projections and expense management.
Conduct regular financial forecasting to assess the organization’s financial health and identify potential risks.
Financial Analysis:
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement.
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.
Cash Flow Management:
Monitor cash flow and liquidity to ensure the organization can meet its financial obligations.
Develop strategies to optimize cash flow and manage working capital effectively.
Internal Controls:
Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the organization’s assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Provide training and support to staff on financial processes and best practices.
Stakeholder Communication:
Collaborate with other departments to align financial goals with operational objectives.
Communicate financial performance and insights to stakeholders, including the board of directors and external partners.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements.
Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management or accounting, MANDATORY to have manufacturing environment experience
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards.
Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
