Diesel Mechanic / Automotive Technician*
Pay:* From *$30.00 per hour* (higher based on experience)
*Job Type:* Full-time
*Schedule:* Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Overtime available if desired)
Dexter's Towing is a busy, family-owned operation with a reputation for precision, reliability, and getting the job done right the first time. We're looking to add a skilled mechanic to our team who can handle everything from small cars to big trucks with confidence.
The ideal candidate will have strong skills working on *diesel engines, heavy trucks, and motors*, as well as general auto and light truck repair.
This is a full-time position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced shop and takes pride in quality workmanship.
*Diagnose and repair diesel engines, large trucks, and standard vehicles
* Perform routine maintenance and inspections
* Conduct safety inspections on *commercial and heavy trucks* (NH law still requires these)
* NH State Inspection License* (preferred; must be able to obtain — required for heavy/commercial vehicles even after 2026 law change)
* Strong knowledge of *diesel engines, big trucks, and standard vehicles*
* Ability to reach and lift parts/materials up to *50 lbs*
* Overtime opportunities if you want extra hours
* Monday–Friday, no weekends
