We offer flexible Fridays that allow you to work from home if needed. Emulate is actively seeking a visionary and accomplished Director of Software Engineering to lead our growing team of software engineers in delivering high-quality, scalable solutions for our Organ-Chip platform. In this role, you will set the strategic direction for software development across robotic systems, data infrastructure, and embedded platforms. You will inspire and guide teams, foster cross-functional collaboration, and uphold best-in-class software practices to support Emulates mission of revolutionizing human biology and health through innovation. Desired Skills & Experience 10+ years of experience in software engineering with at least 4+ years in a senior leadership role. Demonstrated success building and leading engineering teams in high-growth, complex technical environments. Experience with full-stack development, embedded systems, and robotic software is a strong plus. Solid understanding of modern software practices including CI/CD, test automation, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure. Experience working in regulated, hardware-adjacent, or life sciences domains preferred. Technical proficiency in relevant languages such as Python, C++, JavaScript, or equivalent. Proven ability to align technology strategy with business outcomes and product roadmaps. Strong communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills. Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
