Scroll down for a complete overview of what this job will require Are you the right candidate for this opportunity Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Certified Surgical Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 12 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Certified Surgical Technologist Location: Watertown, NY Schedule: 8-hour Days Length: 13 Weeks Requirements: Weekend, call, and holiday rotations required Key Requirements: - Must be Certified Surgical Technologist - Completed approved pharmacology course or prior medication experience with successful completion of a medication exam - Knowledge of cleaning, sterilization, and disinfection of OR equipment and instruments - Strong interest in working in an Operating Room environment - BLS required - Must be able to arrive within 30 minutes when called in - May be asked to precept new staff Role Overview: - Works under direct supervision of an RN - Assists with nursing care and surgical preparation, performing routine and delegated tasks in line with hospital and department standards - Performs technical scrub duties with precise, efficient responses in all surgical situations - Supports departmental tasks as assigned - Plays a vital role in maintaining a sterile field, ensuring equipment is safe and functioning properly, and assisting surgeons during procedures About HonorVet Technologies HonorVet Technologies: Pioneering Purpose, Empowering Heroes Founded in 2015, HonorVet Technologies stands as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), proudly certified by NaVOBA and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
