Position Summary: Performs diagnostic imaging procedures using radioactive materials and specialized equipment to assess and treat patients. Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals, operates imaging devices, ensures patient safety, and maintains accurate records while adhering to regulatory and safety guidelines. Key Responsibilities: Performs in vivo nuclear medicine procedures using tagged radionuclides. Does patients with radiopharmaceuticals and pharmaceuticals as prescribed by the physicians orders, and under the supervision a Radiologist. Ensures complete and accurate data entry in the Hospital Information System and Picture Archival and Communication System. Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients. Operate gamma cameras and PET/CT scanners. Perform diagnostic imaging procedures according to protocols. Ensure patient safety and monitor for adverse reactions. Maintain accurate patient records and imaging logs. Follow radiation safety and regulatory compliance guidelines. Assist physicians in interpreting imaging results. Calibrate and maintain imaging equipment. Educate patients about procedures and safety precautions. Collaborate with healthcare team to provide quality patient care. Qualifications: Education: Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program. AA or BS degree in nuclear medicine from an accredited college or university preferred. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist. Licensure/Certification: Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist with the ARRT or CNMT Advance Registration in PET is optional CPR certification (AHA) required.
