Sr. Principal DevOps Deputy/Lead Engineer

We have an opening for a Deputy/Lead DevOps Lead Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in the Tactical Space organization. Automate cloud native technologies, deploy applications, and provision critical infrastructure

~ Work with microservices and distributed application architecture, such as containers, Kubernetes, and/or serverless technology

~ Work within the OpenStack cloud ecosystem to configure and deploy optimized infrastructure

~ Ensure monitoring and health of the resources deployed via Nagios or other enterprise management solutions

~ Document procedures used during deployment cycles

~ Experience with operational monitoring tools

~ Work with the fellow DevOps team and play a mentoring role to cross-train and grow technical talent across DevOps team and assist in troubleshooting tasks

~ Excel in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and quick deadlines
~ Over 5 years of experience with Linux tools/automation, shell scripting, and Python programming
~2+ years of AWS experience
~3+ years of managing OpenStack environments
~Extensive experience (5+ years) with continuous integration/deployment tools like Jenkins or GitLab
~ Proven ability (5+ years) to create, execute, and troubleshoot complex automated processes for server configuration and code deployment
~ Demonstrated leadership in DevOps projects

Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (ideally Computer Science or Engineering) and 8 years of experience; OR a PhD and 4 years. 5+ years of DevOps or software development experience (general IT experience alone not sufficient)
~5+ years in a technical leadership role managing technical objectives and Jira metrics reporting
~ AWS, Ansible, Kubernetes (K8S), Oracle Cloud, OpenShift
~ Citizenship with a current or active Top-Secret clearance at time of application

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
