We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and heavy equipment. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge base, proficiency with hand tools and power tools, and the ability to work on various types of machinery including trucks, excavators, and farm equipment. The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all vehicles and equipment.
*Duties*
* Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including but not limited to transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, and HVAC systems.
* Diagnose mechanical issues using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics to ensure accurate repairs.
* Conduct inspections and repairs on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, tractor-trailers, and farm machinery.
* Utilize fabrication skills for custom repairs or modifications as needed.
* Execute tire service, brake repair, shocks & struts replacement, and alignment tasks.
* Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
* Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
* Collaborate with team members to complete assembly tasks and equipment repair projects efficiently.
*Experience*
* Previous experience as a mechanic or service technician is required; dealership experience is a plus.
* Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and maintenance practices is essential.
* Proficiency in welding, soldering, and electrical systems is highly desirable.
* Ability to lift heavy objects as necessary for repairs (heavy lifting involved).
* Experience working with various types of machinery including but not limited to Caterpillar products, forklifts, industrial equipment, and automotive vehicles.

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
