Grow With Us is looking to expand our team We are teachers that want to make a difference in the lives of our students. This position will hold direct impact on a child's intellectual and psychological growth within our facilities. Candidates must have the ability to work with multiple age groups and a passion for children. Teachers will scaffold children's play to encourage intellectual growth, creativity and social and emotional skills. Provide supervision for children daily and share the love for learning. Help design weekly lesson plans and implement creative learning.
*Responsibilities*
* Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, media, indoor or outdoor games, drawing etc.) to enhance the child’s abilities
* Evaluate children’s development
* Remain in constant communication with parents and update them on the progress of their children
* Adhere to the daily schedule for your group in order to provide consistency to the children and in order to ensure proper scheduling of staff and shared space. Ensure all daily anecdotal notes/paperwork is filled out appropriately
* Observe children’s interactions and promote the spirit of concord
* Identify behavioral problems and determine the right course of action
* Assist children in appropriate hygiene, such as changing diapers, toileting and washing their hands.
* Implement age and developmentally appropriate classroom practices that include the areas of physical, emotional, social and cognitive needs of the children.
* Prepare meals/snacks and feed children, as appropriate for the age group, while following food safety guidelines and CDC’s procedures.
*Skills*
* 1 year experience as an early education/childcare teacher
* Excellent knowledge of child development and up-to-date education methods
* Methodical and creative
* Patience, flexibility and love for children
* Strong communication and time management skills
* Certificate in first aid and CPR preferred
* Degree in early childhood education preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
