A contract position is available for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide maternity leave coverage within a K-12 special education cooperative serving multiple school districts near Naperville, IL. The assignment involves supporting students with Autism and Intellectual Disabilities in Structured Learning Environment (SLE) classrooms.
Locations include:
Holmes Primary School in Clarendon Hills, IL (4 classrooms)
Anne M Jeans Elementary School in Willowbrook, IL (2 classrooms)
Kingsley Elementary in Downers Grove, IL (1 classroom)
Westmont Jr. High in Westmont, IL (2 classrooms)
Assignment dates range from late January 2026 through early June 2026, depending on the specific school placement. Most positions will require full-time hours (35 to 37.5 hours per week). Caseloads typically include 3-4 self-contained classrooms, with approximately 6-8 students per class.
Qualifications and Experience:
Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech Endorsement
Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist License
Willingness to work onsite (no virtual services)
Candidates at all levels considered, including SLP Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC), Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates, and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs)
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver speech and language therapy services to students in specialized classrooms
Collaborate with special education staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed
