What You Will Do As a Senior Backend Software Engineer , you’ll own and deliver high-impact projects that power the workflows of some of the world’s most advanced AI organizations. You will: Design, build, and scale production-grade backend APIs, services, and infrastructure . Lead system design and architecture decisions for mission-critical workflows. Mentor and guide junior engineers through code reviews, design sessions, and pair programming . Partner with Product and Design to ship features quickly while maintaining quality and scalability. Anticipate bottlenecks, propose scalable solutions, and improve system reliability. Contribute to systems enabling leading AI labs to train, test, and evaluate their models . Ideal Background Strong coding fundamentals (Python preferred, but language-agnostic hiring process). Deep understanding of distributed systems, scalability challenges, and system design . Experience shipping production systems at scale in high-growth or high-stakes environments. Ability to reason about trade-offs between speed and reliability in decision-making. Strong communicator, able to align technical execution with business goals. High ownership mindset, curiosity, and bias toward delivering simple, pragmatic solutions.
