As a Systems Engineering intern at Raytheon, you will work as a contributor to integrate hardware and software, develop test plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, and verify system requirements in support of final sell-off to the customer. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. In this role, you will support elements of program development, engineering testing, integration, field testing, production, system deployment, and/or post deployment support across the product lifecycle. Supporting Engineering activities related to testing and troubleshooting of hardware and software Functional analysis of real world and test data; trade studies to bring advanced features to fielded system Troubleshooting and failure data analyses, including root cause and corrective action processes and advanced use of lab or field test equipment Complete and compile detailed performance evaluations, including the use of analysis tools, such as MATLAB Maintain engineering databases Must be pursuing Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering Or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship session. Must have a minimum of 60 hours of credit by the start of the internship session. Experience with data analysis using tools such as Microsoft Office, Python, MATLAB and/or C++ Experience with troubleshooting technical issues in an academic or internship setting, including the use of common commercial test equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, etc.) Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects. Prior RTX internship, Co-op, or work experience.
