Job Description: Geriatric care center is now accepting applications for an experienced COTA / Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant / Occupational Therapist Assistant or new grad COTA / Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant / Occupational Therapist Assistant to provide services within a skilled nursing facility / snf. As an COTA / Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant / Occupational Therapist Assistant, your goal is to restore, enhance and increase functionality. In this essential COTA / Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant / Occupational Therapist Assistant role, you will work in a home healthcare environment, making a tremendous difference in the lives of your patients and helping them regain quality of life. In addition, you will enjoy not only the tools and support to ensure you can focus keenly on quality patient care but also tremendous flexibility. The COTA / Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant / Occupational Therapist Assistant will assist in the treatment of residents as directed by the Occupational Therapist and participate as an active member of facility's rehabilitation team Essential Job Functions: Resident Care: Provides treatment to residents as directed by the Occupational Therapist Records treatments given in medical record. Documentation will be completed using a company furnished hand held electronic device (i.e. Ipad). Instructs families and staff in maintenance programs as directed by the Occupational Therapist Communicates with supervisor and other interdisciplinary team members regarding resident progress, problems, and plans Participates in resident-care conferences and weekly rehabilitation meetings Participates in facility in-service training programs Maintains resident confidence and protects nursing home operations by records, keeping information confidential Records daily treatment charges according to facility policy and procedures Protects resident and employee by adhering to infection control policies and protection protocols Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with facility and department procedure rules and regulations Provides community based services such as health and wellness activities as required Qualifications - Current licensure in practicing state and/or nationally certified as an COTA / Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant / Occupational Therapist Assistant - Meets educational requirements established in the state of practice - Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing - Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance Benefits: Medical/Dental/Vision PTO/Sick Leave/Holidays STD/LTD/401 retirement options CEUs
