- 5 years of outpatient medical coding experience . Emergency Room/ED coding experience required . Acute care coding experience. 3M Coding Application . HDS Coding Application . Knowledge of ICD-10, ICD-9-CM and CPT-4. Strong understanding of coding, payer, and federal billing guidelines. Strong computer skills. Ability to research and resolve coding issues. CCS CCP AHIMA RHIA RHIT High School Diploma/GED required. English proficiency required.
