Senior Audit Manager
About the Role
A highly respected and growing public accounting firm is seeking an experienced Senior Audit Manager to lead audit engagements, manage client relationships, and oversee the work of audit staff and seniors. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring high-quality audit execution, maintaining compliance with professional standards, and supporting the continued growth of the firm.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, a technical expert, and a proven leader within the audit profession.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, plan, and review audit engagements for a diverse portfolio of clients.
Oversee engagement teams, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
Manage all phases of audits, including risk assessment, planning, fieldwork, and final reporting.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing audit issues and ensuring exceptional service.
Review financial statements for compliance with GAAP and professional standards.
Ensure audit documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned with firm methodology.
Assist with staff development, mentoring, and continuing professional education efforts.
Support business development initiatives, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
Collaborate with partners and firm leadership on strategic initiatives and practice growth.
Stay current with industry trends, regulatory updates, and professional standards.
Qualifications
Active CPA REQUIRED
7-10+ years of audit experience , with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or manager role .
Strong understanding of GAAP , GAAS , and professional audit standards.
Public accounting experience required (regional, national, or Big 4).
Proven leadership skills with the ability to train, mentor, and manage audit teams.
Excellent communication, analytical, and client-service skills.
Ability to manage multiple engagements, deadlines, and client relationships simultaneously.
Strong proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Excel.
