Warehouse & Logistics Associate | Dennis Dean Catering & Events The Opportunity As a Warehouse & Logistics Associate at DDC, you are the engine that powers our events. You are responsible for the seamless flow of inventory, equipment, and transportation that allows our culinary and service teams to perform at the highest level. This role requires a disciplined, detail-oriented professional who understands that the success of a 500-person gala begins with the accuracy of the warehouse pull. Logistics Execute high-accuracy pulls of inventory and equipment based on BEO specifications. You ensure that every event departs the warehouse with the exact tools, platters, and glasswork needed to meet DDC standards. Field Support & Delivery: Manage the safe transport of equipment and food to and from event sites and vendors. You will serve as a key point of contact for on-site staff to ensure they have every resource necessary for flawless execution. Oversee the lifecycle of rental equipment, ensuring all orders are returned complete and properly documented with vendor confirmations. Inventory Stewardship & Maintenance Asset Management: Work in partnership with the Warehouse Manager to maintain PAR levels, conduct inventory audits, and ensure all catering equipment is organized, labeled, and ready for immediate deployment. Equipment Maintenance: Perform general maintenance and regular inspections of warehouse tools and catering hardware to ensure safety and operational integrity. Uniform Logistics: Coordinate the professional cleaning and transport of DDC staff uniforms, ensuring our team always presents a polished, brand-standard appearance. Facility & Fleet Management Fleet Operations: Maintain the DDC fleet of box trucks and vans, ensuring vehicles are clean, fueled, and staged for event departures. Uphold a rigorous standard of cleanliness and organization within the warehouse, adhering to all company safety regulations and local health standards. Maintain proactive communication with the Logistics, Sales, and Culinary teams to coordinate logistical needs and resolve equipment requirements in real-time. A strong work ethic with a "problem-solver" mindset and the ability to remain flexible in an ever-changing environment. Logistical Skill: Proven experience in warehouse operations or event logistics. Driving Credentials: A valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record are mandatory. You must be comfortable and confident operating box trucks and cargo vans in a variety of environments. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is strongly preferred to ensure seamless coordination across our diverse warehouse and culinary departments.
