- Java Engineering Lead, Equities OMS Overview We are seeking a hands-on Senior Vice President to lead the architecture, development, and evolution of our Equities OMS and electronic trading platform. This individual will combine deep technical expertise with strategic leadership to drive platform scalability, engineering excellence, and business growth. The role partners closely with trading, product, operations, and senior technology leadership to shape the future of the firm's electronic trading capabilities. Lead architecture and development of high-performance OMS and electronic trading platforms. Drive technology strategy supporting business growth and market structure evolution. Own critical platform components including order lifecycle management, routing, execution workflows, risk controls, and exchange connectivity. Establish engineering standards, platform resiliency, and operational excellence. Lead modernization, automation, and platform transformation initiatives. 15+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record delivering electronic trading and front-office trading platforms. ~ Deep expertise in Java and distributed systems architecture. ~ Strong understanding of Equities market structure, OMS/EMS platforms, FIX protocol, and execution workflows. ~ Proven experience building and operating front-office trading platforms at scale. ~ Equities electronic trading, DMA, smart order routing, or algorithmic trading experience. Experience with Kafka, Solace, Aeron, Redis, Hazelcast, Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies. Experience leading global engineering teams and large-scale platform transformations. Experience driving adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices and agent-driven development workflows to improve software quality, delivery speed, and developer productivity. A recognized technical leader who remains hands-on, understands electronic trading systems end-to-end, and can drive both near-term delivery and long-term platform strategy.
