This role features 7-day inpatient day coverage stretches each month, with shifts from 8am to 5pm. The assignment involves working in an inpatient setting with a focus on day shifts and no night call. Job Details Location: Maryland Start Date: Jan 23, 2026 LOA: 48 days Provider Type Needed: Cardiologist Schedule: 7-day stretches once a month, 8am to 5pm; specific blocks include Jan 23–30, Feb 20–27, Mar 27–Apr 3, Apr 24–May 1, May 8–15, and Jun 19–26 Responsibilities and Duties Provide inpatient day coverage for cardiology services Perform echocardiography lab and intraoperative transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs) if experienced Manage acute and ongoing cardiac cases in a hospital setting Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver patient care Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient management Additional Information Board certification or eligibility in Cardiology required Maryland medical license required Experience with echo lab and intraoperative TEEs preferred No night call responsibilities Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
