This full-time contract position is for a licensed School Psychologist to support multiple schools within a public school district in the Research Triangle area, including elementary and middle school sites.
The role commences as soon as possible and runs through June 10, 2026.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct psychological evaluations and participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to support student needs. Serve assigned schools including elementary, middle, and preschool teams with responsibilities tailored to each site. Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop interventions and assist with the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework where applicable. Maintain compliance with district and state regulations, including completion of required background checks and fingerprinting within specified timeframes.
Qualifications
Active Psychologist license, specifically with the Department of Education (DOE); possession of a Department of Health (DOH) license is not acceptable.
Experience
in school psychology preferred but recent graduates with proper credentials are encouraged to apply. Bilingual skills in Spanish are a strong plus but not mandatory. Ability to work on-site with no hybrid or remote options is required. Familiarity with MTSS systems is advantageous but not required.
Work Details: Full-time schedule at approximately 37 hours per week. Licensed School Psychologist position with assignments at various district schools including elementary, middle, and preschool locations. Must meet all credentialing deadlines and complete required interviews.
