Position: Controls Technician Location: Sterling, VA Duration: 6-month Contract to hire Pay rate: 30.00/hr-45.00/hr (depending on experience) Start Date: ASAP Must Haves: 3+ years of experience in building automation systems (BAS) Experience with the Install, configuration, programming, and commissioning of HVAC control systems including DDC (Direct Digital Controls), sensors, actuators, and controllers Proficiency in reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and control schematics. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed Strong intangibles are a non-negotiable BC+ DT Plusses: Alerton Controls Experience Tridium Niagara 4 (N4) Osha 30 NFPE 30 Any electrical experience Day to Day: Our Client is seeking a skilled and motivated Controls Technician to join our most trusted energy client's commercial HVAC team. This role is responsible for installing, programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining building automation systems (BAS) and HVAC control systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency. This person will be responsible for the Install, configuration, and commissioning of HVAC control systems including DDC (Direct Digital Controls), sensors, actuators, and controllers around the NOVA Market Project location could vary week to week based on company workload, but will all remain within NOVA You will be responsible for controlling the HVAC systems in the commissioning phase of a data center build Program and calibrate control systems to meet design specifications and operational requirements Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting of control systems and HVAC equipment Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to ensure timely and accurate project delivery Interpret mechanical, electrical, and control drawings and specifications
