About the Role
The Company is seeking an Associate Vice President for Application Development in the HRIS domain. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic planning and execution of HR tech roadmaps, team leadership, and the integration of new technologies to support the employee lifecycle. This role requires a strong background in system architecture, data governance, and security, as well as experience in vendor management and budget handling. The AVP will also be accountable for ensuring that the application group aligns with business objectives, adheres to industry standards, and effectively manages risks and controls. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, with at least 10 years in application development and 6 years in people leadership. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of HRIS within large organizations, particularly with Workday HCM, and a proven track record in leading high-performing engineering teams. Executive-level business acumen, broad technical knowledge, and experience in all stages of the software development life cycle are essential. The role demands a leader with a strong focus on quality, accountability, and the ability to drive transformation initiatives, preferably within the financial services sector. Experience with emerging technologies, AI, and a background in the military or with military spouses is a plus.
