We're inviting you to join the respected laboratory professionals who Make It Possible. Maintain and promote Cytopathology services to both off-site clinicians and in house specialties. Perform high complexity testing procedures required to provide diagnoses for Cytology Specimens. Obtain requisitions from physicians requesting laboratory tests. Examine gynecological, non-gynecological, and needle aspirate specimens. Assists Cytopathologists with adequacy assessment of fine needle biopsy aspirations in various locations. Determine preliminary diagnosis for review by Cytopathologists. Verify test results against accepted quality control standards, record all findings on laboratory information system. This position is Monday - Friday from 10:00am to 6:00pm. Location is our Weill Cornell campus on Manhattan's Upper East Side. Competitive sign-on bonus up to $10K Experiential bonus commensurate with experience Required Criteria: Bachelor's Degree in Cytology or approved accredited program for Cytotechnologists OR Bachelor's Degree in Physical Science with approved advanced certificate in Cytology Cytotechnologist License from New York State Department of Education Preferred Criteria ASCP Certification NEW HIRES PENDING A CYTOTECHNOLOGIST LICENSE: Must obtain the License within 6 months of hire AP Join a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
