Geriatric Opportunities in Kansas CityJoin a group that provides the highest quality care for patients living in long term care, post acute care, and assisted living for Seniors.Private Group is looking to employ PHYSICIANS to serve as clinical leaders in the Post-Acute Care setting. A PHYSICIAN-OWNED and led organization known for an innovative approach to healthcare.General responsibilities include:Functions independently to complete history and physicals on patients; interprets and integrates data to determine appropriate diagnosis and treatment plan in post acute careOrders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient needsPrescribes appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalitiesCollaborates, educates and supervises Advance Practice Providers in managing acute and long- term medical needs of patientsMaintains and reviews patient records, charts, and other pertinent information accurately and efficientlyInstructs and educates patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructionsIndividual must be proficient in exercising autonomy in medical decision making and providing a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic servicesNo nightsNo weekendsRequired:BC/BE Internal Medicine, Family Medicine or GeriatricsCurrent valid license to practice medicine in the State of Missouri AND Kansas (or eligible for license)Current MO BNDD (or eligible)DEA certificate (or eligible)Preferred Experience:Previous experience in Post-Acute care settingsPrevious experience in EHR documentationProficiency in documenting and billing in any setting above, or in the hospitalist settingAlso important are a positive attitude, a passion to provide quality care and an interest in joining a family of providers that understand the importance of a team-first approach.Offer:Base salary $250k plus bonusRelocationSign on bonusComprehensive Benefits Health, Dental, Vision insurance Retirement plan Paid time off Flexible scheduleMedical MalpracticeCMEPTOLife in Kansas City:The Kansas City metropolitan area has a bi-state population of greater than 2 millionA hidden gem winning the award of Americas 4th most Cultured City by Travel+Leisure magazineAffordable housing including downtown lofts, suburban neighborhoods, and rural propertiesA robust arts scene including symphony, ballet, theatre and museumsSports enthusiasts can enjoy a variety of professional and collegiate sportsOutdoor activities abound year round with more than 600 parks and 24 public lakesThe city of fountains, BBQ, and jazz is also renowned for its innovative spirit and friendly people.You are welcome to send your CV in confidence or share with a colleague who may be interested.
