Job Summary and Qualifications

PEDIATRIC MEDICAL SURGICAL UNIT REGISTERED NURSE

Our Peds Med Surg RNs raise the bar by providing clinical expertise and the highest quality care in the most compassionate way. We are an amazing team, that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you, who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

What you will do in this role:

  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and provide direct patient care
  • Plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources
  • Supervise non-licensed nursing staff within the RN scope of practice and in accordance with established policies
  • Incorporate teaching into all aspects of nursing practice

What qualifications you will need:

  • ADN is required / BSN is preferred and required within 2 years of hire
  • Texas State RN license or compact license is accepted
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by either the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Must have one (1) year recent Pediatric Med Surg RN experience in an acute care hospital
