ANSER is seeking an experienced staff action officer to serve as an Awards Program Analyst supporting an Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) client. In this key role, you will facilitate the review, selection, and recognition of exceptional achievements in advancing the client's mission and national defense priorities across the Department of Defense (DoD). This position requires full-time onsite at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA or at the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA. Day to Day Responsibilities: Provide administrative and analytical support for organizing and conducting special events, including the development and maintenance of plans of actions and milestones, invitations, agendas, senior leader talking points, attendance rosters, and meeting summaries.
Coordinate internal and external DoD stakeholders on awards program and planning and execution of events. Ensure adherence to required timelines and compliance with security, protocol, and other DoD requirements. Develop and maintain awards program standard operating procedures in accordance with DoD-level requirements. Collect and analyze metrics and lessons learned for the continuous improvement of processes and future events.
Support response development to external inquiries and to GAO and IG audits. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Possess an active TS/SCI security clearance Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., human resources, event planning, project management, business administration, government). Will consider an additional 4 years of relevant experience with High School diploma in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
Five years of professional experience. One year of experience in meeting or event planning and / or DoD event protocols. One year of experience developing and coordinating tasks in CATMS or other task management tools. High proficiency in Microsoft Office Software.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting personnel-related programs. Knowledge of MILPAY, CIVPAY and other systems. Prior experience supporting clients at the OSD level. Excellent organizational and communication skills and demonstrated attention to detail.
