Experience:
10+ years | Pay: Up to $185K base + 10-15% bonus We're hiring a Data Management Architect to own the data strategy and architecture behind enterprise transformation programs. You'll walk into client environments that are often messy, ambiguous, and half-modernized, figure out what's really there, and lay out a phased path to a governed, modern data platform that people trust. You'll join the Data and Analytics practice of a global AI-first technology consultancy that partners with well-known enterprises across industries. It's hybrid, with 2 to 3 days a week in a local office in one of seven metros, plus up to 25% travel to client sites as programs need it. If you're the architect people pull into the room when the data questions get hard, and you'd rather design the answer than just document it, this is your kind of role. Lead pursuit teams as the data subject matter expert, from RFP responses to proactive proposals Build phased implementation roadmaps that account for scope, sequencing, and the people available to do the work Architect data quality, catalog, lineage, master data management, and governance solutions, sometimes from scratch and sometimes by modernizing what's already in place Anchor proofs of concept and help size and scope new engagements 10+ years of relevant professional experience in data architecture or data management consulting ~ Strong hands-on background across data quality, data catalog, data lineage, and master data management ~ Working knowledge of data governance concepts: policies, procedures, operating models, runbooks ~ Deep data modeling experience across multiple industries ~ Cloud and Platform Expertise in at least two hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP) Familiarity with cloud data warehouse and lakehouse platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks Experience with on-premises and cloud environments, and architecting for performance, scalability, and security Clear, crisp writing and strong presentation skills Practical fluency with AI tools in your own workflow, and a grounded view of what AI can and can't do, including the ethical side Located within commuting distance of Chicago, Detroit, Houston, Dallas, Austin, Charlotte, or Atlanta, and able to travel up to 25%, sometimes on short notice You'll be part of a data practice that works across the full lifecycle, from ingestion and governance to analytics and applied AI, for clients whose names you'd recognize. The work spans industries and platforms, so you won't spend years solving the same problem twice, and you'll have a direct hand in shaping how engagements are scoped and won. If you want senior-level ownership, variety in the work, and a team that treats data architecture as the foundation everything else depends on, this one is worth a conversation.
