Family Medicine / Hospitalist (Split-Position)
Our ideal candidate would be a flexible team player, looking to maintain a mix of both outpatient and inpatient medicine.
Roughly 8 days of clinic, spread over 3 weeks
~ Broad Primary Care Practice
~ Multispecialty Clinic with support from specialists and ancillary services
~ Clinic site has 5 Family Physicians
~ No OB, but prenatal care is an option
~ Telephone call 1:26, peds call only
~This position is to prepare for anticipated retirements
Half-time Hospitalists work 1, 7-on shift, per month.
Day shift, only
Partner with existing Hospitalist Program of both full and half-time providers.
Schedule – 12 hours shifts with 2-3 weeks of nights; rest of the shifts are days.
Hospitalists will cover ICU, with consultative intensivist support.
Total number of physicians in specialty currently in department at practice site: 7. Average inpatient practice volume per day: Med Surg-71 / ICU-10; divided between 3-4 rounding hospitalist, who also share admissions. Average daily census on unit: 50-60
Board Certified/Board Eligible - Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives or production-based compensation.
