Our client is seeking a school Occupational Therapist to work with students with disabilities and serious health impairments, the Occupational Therapist is expected to create and carry out treatment plans, evaluate needs of students, screen students who may be appropriate candidates for Occupational Therapy services, make environmental modifications and work with staff to manage student needs. Implements individual and group treatment for Occupational Therapy.
Consulting with school and supervisory staff on matters relating to Occupational Therapy including: instruction on therapeutic intervention; appropriate use of therapeutic equipment, methods, and instruction; Consulting with parents/guardians regarding treatment goals, specialized therapeutic equipment, and other recommendations to enhance the student's functional ability within the classroom and home setting.
Valid State NYS Occupational Therapy license from the New York State Office of Profession
