Include the following (other duties may be assigned): Perform visual inspections of structural steel fabrication, welding and bolting. Perform material identification, verification and sampling of unidentified steel Prepare reports and other related documents in accordance with good engineering practices and applicable building codes Communicate and document discrepancies in work inspected to steel shop and field crews and to SALEM engineers. Complete appropriate documentation in a timely and accurate manner Understand and utilize safe working practices Preferred Certifications CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) Certification ICC Structural Steel & Welding Special Inspector and ICC Structural Steel & Bolting Special Inspector certifications are a plus Requirements Minimum of 5 years of welding inspection experience preferred CWI and ICC certifications maintained current and in good standing xrczosw Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite to submit reports on company templates Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Must be able to work off ladders and scaffold at construction sites English speaking, reading and writing required Job Type: Full-time
