Montecito, CA (The Post) Employment Type: Part-Time, Temporary (October 2025 – January 2026) Reports to: Co-founders of Spilled Milk About Us At Spilled Milk, we believe shopping for babies and kids should be fun, stylish, and stress-free. We're opening a temporary retail store in Montecito from October 2025 through January 2026 and are looking for an Assistant Store Manager to help lead our retail team, deliver exceptional customer experiences, and support the day-to-day operations of our boutique. What You'll Do As an Assistant Store Manager, you'll be a key leader in creating a welcoming, efficient, and family-friendly store environment. Supporting the Co-founders in daily operations and team leadership Coaching and motivating team members to meet sales and service goals Providing personalized customer service and styling/gift recommendations Managing inventory, restocking, and merchandising displays Training and onboarding new associates Helping plan and execute in-store promotions and events Pitch in on fun projects outside of the store floor—like social media marketing, events, and spreading the word about Spilled Milk Build valuable, hands-on retail and marketing experience to boost your résumé while being part of a fast-growing startup 1–3 years of retail or supervisory experience (specialty, apparel, or boutique preferred) ~ Enthusiasm for children's clothing, style, and community connection ~ Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays ~ Ability to stand for shifts and lift up to 25 lbs Competitive hourly rate plus performance incentives Employee discount on all merchandise Get an inside look at what it's like to work for a new and emerging retail brand, with chances to contribute beyond the sales floor We can't wait to meet you and welcome you into the Spilled Milk family At-will employment disclaimer: "Employment with Spilled Milk is on an at-will basis, meaning either you or the company may terminate employment at any time, with or without cause or notice, subject to applicable law."
