We are seeking a board-certified General Surgeon for a 13-day locum tenens assignment in Tennessee, starting Jan 5, 2026. This opportunity features 24-hour shifts from 7a-7a covering possible trauma and emergency cases, with urgent needs throughout November and December as well. The assignment offers flexibility in scheduling for qualified candidates. Job Details Location: Tennessee Start Date: Jan 5, 2026 LOA: 13 days Provider Type Needed: General Surgeon Schedule: Jan 5 7a - Jan 12 7a; Jan 20 7a - Jan 25 7a Responsibilities and Duties Manage emergency and possible trauma cases in a hospital setting Provide surgical care and interventions as needed Sign off on necessary documentation (no APP supervision required, but occasional sign-off may be needed) Collaborate with medical staff to ensure comprehensive patient care Adhere to hospital protocols and standards Additional Information Board certification in General Surgery required Tennessee medical license required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required Must have recent emergency surgery experience Candidates should be able to start quickly and qualify for temporary privileges Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
