A full-time Occupational Therapist position is available for the current school year at a K-12 school in Newport, VT. This onsite role offers the opportunity to provide essential occupational therapy services to students in a dynamic educational environment. The position is contract-based with the possibility for renewal, allowing for continuity and growth within the school community.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized occupational therapy evaluations and interventions to students across K-12 grade levels.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student development and classroom integration.
Develop and implement therapy goals aligned with students' educational plans.
Document student progress and maintain compliance with school and regulatory standards.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to promote a holistic approach to student success.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapist license appropriate for school settings.
Experience working in K-12 school environments, preferably providing direct OT services.
Strong knowledge of school-based therapy practices and individualized education plans (IEPs).
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work full-time onsite with flexibility to meet student needs.
Location: Newport, VT
Duration: Current School Year (CSY) Contract
Schedule: Full-time, onsite only
