An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher to support young learners in an elementary school setting focused on Autism (moderate to severe). This position serves a caseload of 7-8 students primarily in grades 1-2, with a mix of verbal and nonverbal children. The role requires confidence and a passion for working with this specific population, and involves collaboration with one teacher and two teaching assistants.
Duration: January 5, 2026 June 11, 2026 (2025/2026 School Year)
Schedule: Part-time, Monday through Friday, 4-6 hours per day
Deliver tailored instructive and behavioral support to K-2 students with Autism
Collaborate closely with teaching assistants to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
Early Childhood (EC) Credential with Birth to Kindergarten license required
Experience working with moderate to severe Autism spectrum learners, particularly ages K-2
Ability to effectively communicate with students of varying verbal abilities, including nonverbal children
Competitive contract position for the school year term
~$1,500 sign-on bonus (half paid after 60 days, remainder at assignment completion)
