Job Title: Permanent Physician - Hematology Oncology Join a dedicated team of healthcare professionals in Saginaw, MI We are currently seeking passionate and dynamic Hematology Oncology physicians to enhance our Oncology and Hematology department. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of patients while being part of a collaborative, patient-centered environment. Job Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive Medical Oncology and Hematology care within a hospital-employed setting.
Manage an approximate 20% inpatient and 80% outpatient case load.
Conduct evaluation and treatment for hematology cases (30%) and solid tumors (70%).
Oversee an outpatient census of about 25 patients per clinic, with inpatient volume averaging 5-10 patients.
Collaborate with a cohesive group of 3 Medical Oncologists and 1 Hematologist for optimal patient care.
Develop peer relationships, including a curbside consult connection with MD Anderson.
Utilize dedicated medical assistants, clinic RNs, and inpatient NPs to support patient care.
Participate in a teaching and training affiliation with Central Michigan University's College of Medicine.
Engage in clinical research and advancements in oncology treatments.
Adapt to some occasional travel to satellite clinic locations as needed.
Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology (0-5 years residency required).
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology (0-5 years residency required).
Must hold a valid Michigan medical license or be willing to obtain one.
DEA certification must be secured prior to employment.
CSR/CDS certification must be obtained before starting.
License and Certification Requirements
