Production Supervisor

Our client in the Muskgeon area is seeking a committed and hands-on Production Supervisor for the 3rd shift to lead overnight manufacturing operations in a dynamic production environment. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in high-variation settings, enjoys working closely with both full-time and temporary teams, and understands how to drive results through communication, consistency, and accountability.
This is not a desk job-it's a boots-on-the-ground leadership position. You'll be responsible for managing night shift operations, ensuring product quality, enforcing safety protocols, and adapting labor resources during seasonal peaks. Supervise production flow from plating through converting, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to shipping.
Lead and support a team of 20+ full-time and up to 30 temporary employees.
Maintain a strong presence on the floor to guide, monitor, and coach team performance.
Oversee safety, quality control, and housekeeping standards (6S).
Manage and approve PTO, schedule work shifts, and control overtime.
Conduct onboarding, training, and performance evaluations, including temp labor.
Coordinate with maintenance and scheduling to optimize equipment and labor.
Drive team cohesion through effective communication, support, and team-building efforts.
Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (required).
Familiarity with quality, safety, and production metrics.
Able to lift 50 pounds and operate mechanical tools as needed.
Basic computer proficiency (e.g., able to manage reports and documentation.
Hands-on management style in fast-paced, high-variation environments.
Valid fork truck license or ability to obtain.
