Are you an experienced OB-GYN physician seeking an exciting locum tenens role in a charming North Carolina setting? We have an ongoing locums opportunity in a scenic area near Bat Cave, NC. This position is perfect for a provider interested in a dynamic, community-based practice with both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities. Opportunity Highlights: Specialty: Obstetrics and Gynecology Position Type: Locum Tenens - Scheduled Clinical Hours with Call Location: Near Bat Cave, North Carolina Start Date: Immediate start available with ongoing, long-term potential Coverage Needs: Friday through Tuesday each week, with a mix of clinic and call coverage Team Support: Includes two RNs, multiple medical assistants, and midwives to support during weekdays; physician call only on weekends Electronic Medical Records (EMR): McKesson and Athena systems Key Responsibilities: Clinical and Call Duties: Provide outpatient and inpatient services, including deliveries and gynecologic surgeries Delivery Volume: Expect an average of 600 deliveries annually Patient Load: Handle 4-6 patients per hospital shift and up to 15 in the clinic Call Requirements: Beeper call coverage with an average of 4-6 patients seen and up to four admissions per shift Facility Details: 15-bed unit dedicated to obstetric and gynecological care, offering both routine and specialized care for low-risk and high-risk pregnancies Position Requirements: Board Certification: Board eligible or certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology Licensure: Active North Carolina medical license required Certifications: ACLS required Experience: Minimum of 50 deliveries, including 12 cesareans, and 25 gynecologic surgeries (5 major) within the last 12 months Additional Skills: Experience in low-risk and high-risk pregnancy management, FHR interpretation, OB ultrasounds, routine and complicated deliveries, and a range of gynecologic surgical procedures Benefits: Credentialing: Quick credentialing process with temporary privileges for providers with clean malpractice history Insurance: Malpractice insurance provided by vendor Travel Assistance: Convenient access to local accommodations and airport If you're ready to explore this locums opportunity in beautiful western North Carolina, where you???ll provide essential OB-GYN services to a vibrant community, apply now using reference Job ID #j-236348.
