We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer II to join the team with Aerodyne supporting AFRL at Kirtland AFB.

The Systems Engineer II will:

Perform systems engineering activities including but not limited to: conducting requirements analysis, developing MBSE models, orbital analysis, managing technical interfaces, coordinating with stakeholders, creating verification plans, maintaining requirements traceability, and supporting architecture development.

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related fields
• 4-7 years space systems experience
• Experience with MBSE tools
• TS/SCI Clearance required
• Experience with requirements management
• Background in space systems development, including orbital mechanics
• Knowledge of verification and validation processes
• Demonstrated technical documentation skills
• Must have good communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment

Requisition Preferences:

• INCOSE ASEP certification
• Experience with DoD space systems
• Knowledge of satellite communication systems
• Background in model-based systems engineering

Additional Information

Essential Functions

Work Environment

Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).

Equipment and Machines

Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).

Attendance

Regular attendance in accordance with the established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
