Our office is located in the financial district of downtown Tacoma—a vibrant, walkable area of the city with convenient access and public transportation options (both streetcar station and bus located on the same block as our office). Our office building boasts a new on-site gym for employees and beautifully renovated common areas. Qualifications Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering Excellent written and verbal communication skills Microsoft Word, Excel skills Professional Engineer (PE) License (Washington State preferred, but not required) AutoCAD Civil 3D experience Bluebeam Revu experience Proficient in stormwater modeling using WWHM and other software Minimum of 8 years of experience in civil engineering Desired Candidate Traits 10 or more years of experience desired Self-Motivated Inquisitive Team-oriented Fun with a good sense of humor Typical Job Tasks Lead and manage projects from the concept phase through the construction phase Mentor junior staff to support our collaborative team environment Project research related to pertinent regulatory requirements, existing utilities, and reports prepared by other consultants Design and review of site plans, site grading, water, sewer, storm drainage systems within the Civil3D environment Preparation of and review of design calculations and reports Coordinate with clients, subconsultants, municipalities and regulatory agencies Assist in preparing proposals, budgets, and monitoring project financials Stay current with industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements Compensation/Benefits Competitive Salary, based on experience ($120k-$200k base) Automatic 3% 401(k) employer contribution every paycheck plus generous annual 401(k) profit sharing Performance-based bonuses Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Plan Long-Term Disability Insurance Health Savings Account with guaranteed employer contribution 9-day / 80-hour work schedule (every other Friday off)8 Paid Holidays Paid time off (PTO) for vacation/sick beginning at 6% and up to 12% of hours worked – percentage dependent upon experience level and time with the company We offer a fun, fast-paced environment full of rewarding projects and learning/professional advancement opportunities.
