Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 12/02/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Tele Float Pool Stepdown Job Details: • Work night shifts with weekend requirements every other weekend • Float pool position covering multiple units including Observation, Med-Surg, General Surgery, Ortho Surgery, Short Stay Surgery, Thoracic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Oncology, Telemetry & Progressive Care • Nurse to patient ratios: 4-5 patients on Med-Surg units, 3 patients to 1 RN on Progressive Care • Care for med-surg and post-operative surgical patients, PCU patients with strokes, lines, drains, chest tubes, CHF, post vascular procedures, arrhythmias, and DKA • May occasionally titrate drips including Heparin, Nicardipine, NTG, insulin, Cardizem, and fixed rate dopamine/dobutamine for stepdown units • Read cardiac strips with remote cardiac monitoring system • Work with CPAP and BiPAP equipment as needed • Required certifications: ACLS and BLS • Med-Surg and PCU/Stepdown level experience required • Self-scheduling available, no block scheduling • No call or standby requirements • Daily unit assignments provided via staffing sheets • Royal blue scrub color required • Complete General Hospital Orientation, Myles Modules, Cerner Validation class, and unit-specific orientation • Use Cerner charting system • BSN not required • Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment Facility: This comprehensive medical center provides acute care services across multiple specialty units and departments.
