Infectious Disease Physician Opportunity Location: La Crosse, WI - Rochester, MN 70m Full-Time, permanent position Position Highlights 100% Infectious Disease practice in a community setting with academic involvement Provide patient care in both clinic and hospital settings Participate in Infection Control & Prevention and Antimicrobial Stewardship initiatives Opportunity to work with a broad range of infections including endocarditis, orthopedic infections, pneumonias, zoonotic diseases, endemic mycoses, tick-borne diseases, and a minority of transplant-related infections Manage small HIV/AIDS practice and travel clinic services Support clinic-based IV antibiotic infusions with dedicated nursing staff Collaborate with family practice residents, occasional medical students, and multiple medical specialtiesHospital Practice Responsibilities Conduct inpatient consultations and follow-ups (no admissions required) Work closely with Infection Preventionists and Pharmacists on stewardship programsClinic Practice Responsibilities Post-hospital follow-ups, specialty referrals, travel medicine Use of in-clinic infusion center for IV antibioticsAcademic & Collaborative Opportunities Participate in Enterprise committees Work with a collegial team as part of the One Wisconsin Infectious Disease department Engage in teaching and mentorship of traineesQualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Infectious Diseases Eligible for medical licensure in WisconsinPractice Environment & Benefits Community practice with academic support Integrated care system facilitating coordinated patient care Collaborative, multidisciplinary environment with robust institutional support
