Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced CDL Class A Driver to join our pavement preservation crews in the New York Central region. Transporting materials and equipment to job sites and assisting with loading/unloading and laborer duties as needed.

Compensation

$28 - $30/hour

Main Responsibilities
  • Safely transport paving materials from stockpile sites to pavers via live bottom trucks with tri-drop axles.
  • Assist in loading and unloading trucks by hooking up hoses and running pumps.
  • Operate a variety of equipment and vehicles as needed.
  • Perform general laborer duties associated with asphalt paving, including mixing, spreading materials, and cleaning roadway surfaces.
  • Maintain traffic control, including flagging duties, to ensure safe working conditions.
  • Keep equipment and tools in good working condition.
  • Collaborate with the crew to achieve job site goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to assist the crew.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Hold a valid Class A CDL with a good driving record.
  • Be willing to travel 75-90% of the time.
  • Adhere to all DOT and Barrett Paving Material safety regulations.
  • Be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Wear and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Be able to stand and walk across uneven terrain regularly.
