The Drive-by-Wire (DBW) team focuses on the development of electronic and electro-mechanical systems that replace traditional mechanical linkages in vehicle control functions. Our mission is to ensure that vehicles accurately receive and execute driving commands from higher-level systems, enabling safe, reliable, and efficient vehicle operation. What you'll be doing: Develop drive-by-wire functions and software with redundancy and diagnosis. Perform electrical and software integration and introduction of drive-by-wire systems on new autonomous vehicle platforms. Ensure reliable vehicle operation of drive-by-wire actuators in all modes of operation across various vehicle platforms. Troubleshoot, triage, and provide diagnostic support for field issues related to the vehicle control system. Qualifications: BS/MS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar field Proficient in Embedded C, C++ is a must Strong understanding of either of the following fields: 1. Brake/steering/propulsion actuators of electric vehicles 2. CAN/LIN/Ethernet communication protocol 3. Vehicle ECU embedded development 4. CAN tools like CANalyzer/CANoe and capl script Strong root-cause analysis for problem-solving Excellent communication and cross-functional team collaboration abilities Passion for innovation in the autonomous vehicle industry $40 - $45 an hour What Happens Next: We'll take a few weeks to review all applications.
