We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Class 8 Diesel Truck Mechanic/Service Technician. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy-duty truck repair, diagnostics, and maintenance, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex diesel engines and related systems. However, we would be willing to train the right person. This role offers a hands on, fast paced environment with the ability to create a career, not just maintain a job.
*Duties*
* Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on Class 8 diesel trucks, including engine, transmission, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension, and HVAC systems.
* Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake repairs, and general vehicle inspections.
* Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical systems, wiring issues, and mechanical failures.
* Perform equipment assembly and disassembly for repairs or upgrades.
* Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
* Assist with heavy lifting tasks.
* Work well with other members of the team by communicating efficiently and effectively allowing us to provide excellent customer service by communicating repair needs and solutions effectively.
*Requirements*
* Experience as a diesel truck mechanic or service technician is preferred but not required.
* Basic use of computer systems
* Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
* Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures
* Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately.
* Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various environmental conditions.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and quality workmanship.
* Valid driver's license

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
