Electrical Design Engineers (Junior / Mid-Level / Senior) for a 12-month contract assignment supporting the U.S. Air Force facility near Ogden, UT. These onsite roles offer a W2 hourly base rate with time and a half for overtime, per diem, and mobilization / demobilization. Our client is targeting a base rate of $50.00 - $100.00/hour for these roles. U.S. Citizenship is required. Position Summary : These roles will support the USAF Sentinel Program Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase by preparing engineering studies, drawings, calculations, specifications, and evaluations, in accordance with applicable procedures, codes, standards, and contract requirements. This is an onsite position at Hill Air Force Base, just outside Salt Lake City, UT. Full time presence on project is required. Responsibilities: Evaluates, selects, and applies standard electrical engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria for a small size project to include the preparation of original designs layouts, details, drawings, and specifications. Designs, develops, modifies, and evaluates components and processes used in the generation, manipulation, transmission, and storage of electricity. Prepares or assists in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports, or proposals. Coordinates electrical engineering efforts in assigned areas with specialty groups, engineering disciplines, the client, vendor, contractors, construction, and other functional groups. Develops new design drawings using SmartPlant 3D such as single lines, panel schedules, schematics, cable block diagrams, grounding, lightning protection, cathodic protection, and more. Performs power system analysis modeling and calculations utilizing ETAP. Calculations will include Load Flow, Short Circuit, Motor Starting, Relay Coordination, Arc Flash. Other facility calculations include, lighting design using AGI 32, facility ground grid sizing utilizing ETAP and underground cable thermal de-rating analysis utilizing ETAP. Performs equipment sizing calculations such as medium voltage utility and low voltage transformers, panel boards, surge protective devices, uninterruptable power supplies, and battery sizing calculations. xrczosw SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES ARE AVAILABLE PER POSITION TENURE.
