Plant Superintendent, 2nd Shift – Chattanooga, TN The Opportunity Our client is an industrial equipment manufacturer who has hired us to seek out a 2nd Shift Plant Superintendent for their Chattanooga, TN location. This position reports to the Plant Manager and is responsible for daily oversight of second shift production deliverables by setting performance goals and deadlines that align with the company’s vision. Key Responsibilities: Organize and direct workflow to meet production targets Communicate daily with the Plant Manager on performance alignment Communicate organizational goals to the shop team members Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures Teach, coach, and facilitate a productive workforce Address and resolve manufacturing discrepancies within the shift Resolve employee conflicts and manage team relationships Ensure team safety and compliance with procedures Manage employee performance through evaluations and development Set expectations by leading as a productive example Interact with the Engineering, Maintenance, and Sales departments Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards Act ethically and socially responsibly Fulfill duties assigned by the Plant Manager Required Qualifications: Relevant education and manufacturing experience in a management role Computer literacy: Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint Superior organizational skills with quality/safety orientation Ability to work independently and in teams Excellent communication and negotiation skills across the organization Ability to adapt to changing situations Strong ethics, reliability, professionalism, and positive attitude Preferred Qualifications: Leadership experience in metal fabrication/heavy equipment manufacturing Ability to read blueprints and assembly instructions Experience with robotic welders Check out our website at New employment opportunities are posted daily Part of our efforts in building close working relationships with our clients' companies involves partnering with strong professionals who have the drive and motivation to secure their future xrczosw As always, any information you submit to us is kept strictly confidential and is never distributed without your consent.
