The Department of Neurological Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine , in collaboration with Och Spine at NewYork-Presbyterian , is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible academic neurosurgeon (Assistant, Associate Professor), fellowship trained in complex spine, and/or spinal deformity surgery , to join our regional network. The successful candidate will be based at NewYork-Presbyterian/Queens , where they will grow a practice in complex spine surgery. The position includes a comprehensive benefits package and participation in the Faculty Physician Organization. The position offers the opportunity to maintain a clinical practice in complex spine surgery; participate in clinical research with a focus on advancing spine surgery techniques and outcomes; contribute to the education and training of residents, medical students, and fellows; collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across orthopedic surgery, pain management, and rehabilitation medicine; and engage in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
completion of an ACGME-accredited neurosurgery residency program; fellowship training in complex spine and/or spinal deformity surgery; board certification or eligibility in Neurological Surgery (ABNS); demonstrated experience in teaching residents and medical students; and evidence of clinical research contributions. Additional qualifications include New York State medical license (or eligibility), DEA certification, and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred qualifications include expertise in evidence of innovation in spinal surgery techniques or devices; experience in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives; language proficiency in Spanish or Mandarin would be a plus.

This compensation range does not include our amazing benefits and any incentive payments, based on quality measures and productivity, that may be applicable to this role.
The selected candidate will have an academic appointment at Weill Cornell Medicine. Academic rank will be commensurate with the level of experience and scholarly accomplishments.
