Russell Tobin's client is hiring a Mutual Funds Accountant in Hackensack, NJ Employment Type: Contract Location: Hybrid (3 days in office) - Hackensack, NJ 07601 Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm or 9am-5:30pm CST Pay rate: $40-$43/hr Responsibilities: Prepare daily general ledger entries, prime broker and bank cash reconciliations, advisor and portfolio management processing, corporate action applications, expense accruals and payments, timely distribution of internal and external information, and portfolio reconciliations. Collaborate with internal and external administrators, transfer agencies, prime brokers, and custodians to ensure compliance with SEC regulations and adherence to GAAP principles across all fund accounting functions. Record trade activity, income and expense transactions, and apply security valuations within the portfolio accounting system. Requirements: Thorough knowledge in accounting, reporting, and analysis. Ability to identify and resolve/escalate complex problems with minimal guidance. Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously. Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications. Advent Geneva, Microsoft Excel, Alteryx expertise preferred.
