Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Set-Up Machinist with advanced machine set-up and troubleshooting skills for Mill (RoboDrill, 4 & 5 axis Haas) and Swiss (Star SB, ST, SVs) machines . This role involves collaborating with programmers, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and optimizing production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and troubleshoot Mill and Swiss machines with a moderate understanding of programming
  • Ensure compliance with machining best practices and quality standards
  • Collaborate with programmers and operators for efficient workflow
  • Monitor and evaluate performance against standard setup times
  • Conduct inspections, deburring, and polishing tasks

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of production experience
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and using micrometers, calipers, and comparators
  • Strong understanding of metrology and quality systems
  • Intermediate math and problem-solving skills
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and team-focused

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

  • Factory setting with exposure to mechanical parts, fumes, dust, and vibration
  • Requires occasional lifting (up to 20 lbs), standing, kneeling, and fine motor tasks
